A late start to the day

I've been trying fairly hard to get up when my friend in California wakes to go to work. That way her and I can spend a few minutes chatting as we wake up and get a little bit of a jump on having a good day for both of us. That generally means me waking at 6 or 7 a.m. here in Alaska.

This morning I blurrily woke and grabbed my cell phone to check the time and discovered it was set for vibrate. DOH! No. ::pouts:: I'd misses waking up on time and there was a note from my friend that she had headed out for work and would see me tonight. ::sigh::

So, here it is nearing 8 a.m. and I am sipping coffee and listening to Rick Rydell (sp?) on the radio talking about the Alaskan Senate and he has me pondering on if there's anything before them on Family Caregivers. I'll have to look into it and see. Still nothing being done about the Family Caregiver Security Act of 2005 (H.R. 175).
