Paper folding trick

Here is a trick for the next time you have a scrap of paper that you want to throw away. Take it and fold it evenly in half. Turn it so the fold points to the side and fold again. Turn again, fold again. Each time folding exactly in half and each time turning it exactly 90 degrees to the side before the next fold.

If you folded it neatly 8 times give yourself a big hand of applause and let everyone (particularly Myth Busters) know. If you folded it 11 or more times then you had a sheet of paper the size of a football field.

That's what the Myth Busters needed the other day to fold a sheet of maper, neatly, more than 7 times. They managed (with the help of a steam roller) 11 folds. They could not easily master 8 folds on a standard sized sheet of paper without cheating.

Great trick to do with your friends, challenge them to fold a sheet of 8.5" x 11" paper 10 times.
