Where else can you find a million and one plots? [sponsored post]

They say that there are only a specific number of plots in the world (no one can determine exactly how many that is), so I doubt that when All My Children premiered in January of 1970 any of the people associated with the daytime soap had any idea that it would still be on the air 37 years later. Like many long running daytime soaps, All My Children has found a loyal following of viewers that tune in daily to see what happens in Pine Valley, Pennsylvania.

I've never been a very big fan of soaps, although I do admit to having watched General hospital for a brief time. I suppose it is probably more because I have no time to deal with my own life, much less get involved with the daily lives if fictional characters (unless I'm writing about them of course, lol), but it is probably more that I can't see how many times you can retell the same stories over and over and still have them seem interesting and fresh.

Soaps.com, however, is dangerously promising to make it easier to keep up on what's happening and find out just how you manage that. I have been looking at their sites for the various soaps and finding them to be a rather good source for catching up with what has been going on in Pine Valley. A cast list of characters and actors makes it easier for someone like me, that has trouble associating names to faces, to keep up on who is who between the online descriptions and the faces I recognize from the random here and there segments of the series that I have seen on television. Daily updates let you know the most important things that happened each day that you may have missed out on - such as who is Emma's daddy? (who is Emma? lol)

I'll tell you what, I should really start watching these things, they are a treasure trove of plot stories waiting to be retold.
