Creating Novel Work Books

I have two blank books that I have been using to make work books for Heir to Magic. These ar:

Heir To Magic: The Known World
This is an art book in which I have been cataloging what the world is like and how the science of the world works as well as what things such as the rings appear from the location on the planet where my story takes place and the history of the world (including their view of the rings and how it has affected their religions and such).

The other is -

Heir To Magic: Sketchbook
This is where I collect my sketches of characters and features such as the boundary markers between kingdoms, palace floor plans, kingdom flags, magical and mundane items that I want to be able to see a visual and text description of for writing, and so forth.

I also have in the works Heir To Magic: Spells and Incantations so I know what a spell is like to be cast and what spells are available in the world I am working on, and Heir To Magic: Song and Storybook since I have plans for later stories or scenes that will require story tellers and bards.

By creating work books like these I have things organized and easy to locate as I work on the world of my novel. It's also great for working through bouts of writer's block.
