How I Write: Secrets of a Bestselling Author

I've been reading "How I Write: Secrets of a Bestselling Author" by Janet Evanovich. I love the book, which is a compilation of questions and answers that she has had asked and answered through her website over the years.

As soon as I started reading the book I knew that my friend in the lower 48 needed to read it as well, she picked up a copy from Amazon and has been reading it and agreed that it she can see just why I said she had to read it and is, last I heard, enjoying it as much as I am.

Janet Evanovich writes the Stephanie Plum series, about a woman bounty hunter, and this book discusses a lot of things about how those books were researched and how the author decided to make the lead character a bounty hunter. The information on just how much (or little) one needs to know about writing a series about bounty hunters was what caught my eye on the book. My friend and I have been working on a book featuring a bounty hunter and both of us have been feeling uncertain about how much we really had to know about it to write about it.
