I created a time sheet for tracking what my work schedule is. I set up a dry erase board by the office door, just above the light switch, and mounted a clock up over top of it. A line drawn down the middle divides "time in" and "time out" - now I can mark down when I am starting work and when I leave the office to do something else. Just a few seconds pause at the door keeps accurate count of just how long I am not working during the day.
I know that I am working since I wake up to when I go to bed, but now I can make a better guesstimate of just how much of that time is spent sitting and working.
The only flaw in the system is that it won't be tracking things like yesterday when I was out of the office and took my little portable office with me on the road to work in the car and while waiting for appointments. I will need to track them things in a small notepad my portable office.
