I must admit that few things have impressed me about Capella University as much as my discovery that more than 15% of Capella's more than 17,900 students are affiliated with the Department of Defense. I ran across this little tidbit when I was looking around for information on Capella. It explains why someone like PhD student Carla Chladek would be taking classes with Capella University.
Chladek is pursuing a master’s degree in education at Capella and is a Program Manager for the Joint Staff Training Program at the Pentagon. This means that she is responsible for ensuring that the training needs are met for the 2,000 military members who support the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
