A Writer's Life: LiveJournal Apologizes - SNAFU Bigger Than They Suspected

Well, it seems like the fellow in charge over at LiveJournal figured out what everyone else knew all along. The SNAFU was a lot bigger than LiveJournal realized. At least I am giving them the benefit of the doubt that it was larger than they realized and they were not just trying to convince the FanFic writers and others to go quietly into the night. There is a rather lively debate going on over in the news section of LiveJournal that I think has maxed out their comments for that particular post.

The screwup (LiveJournal's official description of what happened "we screwed up") spawned a lovely series of LiveJournal icons that I have now began collecting as I find them. They are sure to be highly prized collectibles in no time.

LiveJournal has learned a valuable lesson though, one that I think all such communities should learn and that is summed up best by the iconmakers... so take it away folks, (thank you to whoever all it was that made these. I just found them in my readings)
