Basic Synopsis: In the revolt plot the lead character is generally a conspirator that leads, or at least contributes to, a revolt against an oppressive tyrant. This might be an uprising of the population of a country against their ruler, or it might be the uprising of workers against a tyrannical boss that is demanding unfair work under poor conditions for little pay. A setting such as workers in a factory in an area and time where jobs are scarce rising up to follow the lead character in a revolt against the boss that will likely fire them for their actions is a good example of the latter.
