Ford Thunderbird needs a website, which means more writing

I'm going to be making myself another website. Yes, another one. As though I did not already have enough writing to do I want to create something that will track my little project car. If you read my main blog here then you have seen that I recently got myself a Ford Thunderbird. It's not in the best of shape, and the engine needs some work, but I have the lovely little baby and am going to work on rebuilding her.

Part of the rebuild is going to be the engine, because sad to say she has a nasty (understatement) knock sound. I'm no noob to having to repair and replace engines, so I know that it is not going to be a simple matter of yank it out and tuck it back in. And indeed, with writing and being a full time caregiver and *gasp* trying o have a social life (how dare I), it will be my winter project. And it will probably take a few winters to do it all.

Thankfully if I run up against problems I have some resources already in line. Primarily there is my family. My dad and brother know a lot about working on cars so I have them to provide technical advice. Another source of technical advice, this for the radiator when I am trying to unhook and reconnected and probably replace it, is Radiator.com. They have a very informative site and even (much to my joy) stores here in Alaska (and not to far from me). I can go to their website and find out information on radiators, even ask questions using the handy chat boxes found on most web pages. With thousands of aftermarket radiators and upgrade radiators in stock, from Acura radiators to a Taurus Radiator straight on into the Yugos, it is easy to find what you needed. I went looking and found information for everything from my Thunderbird to my dad's '69 Ford pickup, and articles on all sorts of car and radiator related information.

Definitely a website I will be referring back to time after time when I get my website for my Thunderbird rebuild project up and running. I hope to get that done in the next few weeks, as well as getting the log garage cleared out (it has a hot tub stored in it now) so I can get my T-bird in there and start working on it this fall.
