Freeze It tests on writer pains - including carpel tunnel

Okay, a couple of weeks ago I got this sample of this stuff called Freeze It in the mail. Says that it is supposed to be an "advanced therapy pain relief gel". Okay, that's nice. I'm not so sure it will work, but I try it out. My first test of this stuff was on my fingers and here's the results as I wrote them out that day:

~~~~~~~~~~~
Applied a 1" length of Freeze It to my fingers and rubbed into right hand, focusing on the knuckles and pinkie. Applied a second 1" strip to ensure proper coverage where I wanted it.
STRONG scent of menthol that dissipated over the next 5 minutes. Applied at 9:05 a.m. - scent barely noticeable by 9:10 a.m.
Joint pain seems to have lessened overall in both hands where Freeze It was applied. The subject finger (right pinkie) is improved immensely on the pain that it had been experiencing, those joints I did not apply Freeze It to appear to have the same level of aches and pains as before the application.
By 9:19 a.m. I can not detect any menthol scent. The effects on the pain (no pain in joints I applied Freeze It to) are still noticeable.
I have a very slight tingly sensation along backs of knuckles, however, I am not sure what the cause is since it is not noticeable everywhere I applied the Freeze It, only along the backs of the knuckles up to first joint in fingers. It is not a uncomfortable sensation, just one that I am aware of. Will watch for reoccurrences in later tests.
Preliminary Conclusion: Freeze It has, in this first test, proven to have the ability to reduce the aches and pains that I get in my fingers from typing and has little to negligible possible side effects.
Now, that first test was good, and I liked the product since as a professional writer my poor fingers get a lot of abuse, and the stuff had no greasy residue or long lasting scent or anything. The next day I came across another chance to test the stuff out and applied Freeze It to my fingers again.
Results of second test by me as entered that day:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Applied a little Freeze It to my fingers to help with pain from typing. Again it started out with a noticeable strong scent that dissipated over the course of a few minutes. The pain was noticeably decreased with a minor feeling along the skin that I hesitate to even describe as a tingly sensation. I can see already that I like this stuff, although I would advise applying it in a ventilated area if you are susceptible to strong scents. The scent is unnoticed by me, even on very close sniffing of the skin, after 5 minutes.

Fingers are good, but they are not exactly hard for reaching the joints on, right? Well, I hit on a chance to try the stuff on my wrist and here is the results on that one:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
3:30 p.m. July 20, 2007 Today my right wrist is *hurting* I've considered putting it in a splint even, but decided "what's Freeze It say it's for?" So, apply Freeze It. Strong scent as usual is noticeable for first few minutes, but is soon dissipating. Scent is still there at 3 minutes when I am writing this, but noticeably declined in strength. Something else that is noticeable is a decline in pain. YES! Where do I buy more of this stuff? Pain not all gone yet, but is already down by about half and no longer as bad as it was when I started.
3:49 p.m. and the pain in my wrist is no longer noticeable. I'm not sure just when I vanished, as I had been afk helping my dad finish up shaving, but I just sat back down and realized the pain is gone. Even focusing on it now I don't detect pain there, still present in the left wrist though. I had not applied any Freeze It to the left wrist. Once again it seems like there is a minor almost tingly sensation, but nothing that would stop my using the product in the future and I have had no reactions to its use.
So, how about those independent tests on guinea pigs--- errr... volunteers? Well, I happened to hit on two of them. My first subject is my older sister who came to pick us up for a trip to Seward and was suffering bad carpel tunnel in her wrist. She knows what that stuff is, had to have her right wrist operated on because of carpel tunnel and now is close to it on left one. For almost 25 years she has been the editor of a large magazine. She sat down at the table and our mom noticed the trouble she was having with her wrist and called me, "Why don't' you give your sister some of that stuff you got?" Okies! So I got my sister some Freeze It and she applied it and this is the results as I types them up that day before we left:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
5:20p.m. July 20, 2007
I gave some of the Freeze It to my sister, who is a magazine editor, and she applied it to her wrist which has bad carpel tunnel syndrome in it. A few minutes later she looked up at me and told me the pain was gone "Where was this stuff this morning?" I gave her two of the packets I had, telling her I plan to buy some and she replied with "Tell me where, I'll buy it!"

Another success for Freeze It. Definitely a product that works good.

And for the record, after all day of typing, my right wrist is now just barely starting to indicate that the small bit I had put on it a couple of hours ago might be starting to wear off. I'm not sure how long it is supposed to last, but it at least lasts for two hours with continued abuse of the sore muscles. ::innocent look:: Working through pain is probably not what it was intended for, huh?

Have to go, I'm off to Seward for the night with my sister and parents.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After my sister came my brother, a long time website designer and owner of his own hosting company. He has been a graphics designer for years and the abuse is showing on his wrists being just as abused as those of us in the family that write. So when he was rubbing his wrist here one day and complaining about the pain in it I went and got out the Freeze It. He applied just a little bit to his wrist and rubbed it in and although I did not make an at the time entry about those results he too soon had no more pain in the applied wrist and was wanting to know where to get more. I gave him a packet of the stuff to keep until he could get more of it.
So, my opinion, does Freeze It work? You bet it does, it works beautifully and is not only fast working but left behind no noticeable scent or greasy feeling. Neither my brother or sister reported feeling the tingling I had felt, so I am guessing it is something that if you have very sensitive skin that it might be present, but otherwise this stuff seems to have no noticed side effects when applies to the hands and wrists for joint and muscles pain.
I'm definitely going to buy more Freeze It and strongly recommend that anyone that has any kind of joint pains, even carpel tunnel, at least try this out. At under $10 for a 4oz tube it is very inexpensive and you don't need very much to achieve amazing results. Based on my experiences with getting stuff for my hands in the past, you can easily spend a lot more on anything comparable to this without as good a results as you can from Freeze It.
Even Harry says it's good, and all he knows is I am more inclined to pet him after a long day of typing if I have applied Freeze It. ;-) I'm sorry about the lousy picture quality here, but wanted to show you what this stuff looks like and lost my good camera.
