Way behind on NaNoWriMo already

I have been working on my NaNoWriMo story, but I am very very far behind. I should be about 6,000 words into it at this point and instead I am just shy of 300 words into it. That is not good. I'm going to fail to make the end of this at this point - to say nothing of not getting things written up for my Heir to Magic novel that I am supposed to be working on while I am working on the NaNoWriMo project ::wince:: Ah well, I knew going into that this year it was not going to be easy and was more than likely a lost cause - it's just a shame I can not count my blogging toward my NaNoWriMo word count.
