High winds hit today, leaving me with a high wind advisory until 5 a.m. Monday morning and a yard filled with blown away trash cans and tarps and assorted other things that should not have been blown away. The high wind is something that is just a natural part of living in Alaska, but it has been a while since I have seen it blowing so hard here where I live. I keep expecting it to tear the roof back off my brother's garage again.
It's time to just hunker down and do some work on my novel and get other writing work done. Might even end up doing that all by candlelight if it carries through on the threats it has been making of taking out the electricity.
