Handbound books

I've been thinking about turning my skills as a bookbinder toward the effort to save my parent's house. I've been a caregiver for my parents for most of my life, dedicating my full time to caregiving for my father after his stroke in 2001, this left me without much of a life of my own, so my mom and dad were going to leave me their home as repayment -- last year we were forced to take out a reverse mortgage on that house to save the homes of several others in the family due to the mortgage crisis dropping hard on them. Now, after my mom's death, I am looking at an uncertain future where if something happens to my dad I will have to pay off the entire amount due on their home or it will be seized be the mortgage company. So, I am desperately trying to come up with money to pay off that home, since there is no hope of me being able to qualify for any kind of bank refinancing after a lifetime of being a family caregiver.

Which is where bookbinding comes in. I have been thinking about creating hand bound books, something I have done for over 30 years, and selling them to help pay off the mortgage on my parent's house.
