I got the mail today and was puzzled to find not one, but two letters from Poets & Writers. This was made even more “Hmmm…” by the writing on the front of the two letters.
Letter 1: “Invoice Enclosed”
Letter 2: “Forget Something?”
Okay, this seemed a bit pushy, didn’t it? I mean, come on folks, Alaska has a bit of a delay in the mail, give me a day or two to send back the invoice before you ask if I forgot it. Right?
Yeah. I didn’t think they were really *THAT* pushy either. Investigating the contents of the two envelopes confirmed that the “bill me” renewal I sent in a while back had apparently arrived the same time that a “Why haven’t you renewed yet?” letter was already cued into the outgoing mail.
