Did you ever notice that it is impossible to understand lawyer-speak without a law degree?
I'm trying to wade my way through reading up on a case from 2002 by simmons jannace & stagg . The legal mumbo jumbo is about to drive me batty though. In the material I first got on the case it was talking about the fact that Simmons Jannace & Stagg had represented a woman, who's husband died on 9-11, that was facing a lawsuit filed by the attorney who represented her before the Victims Compensation Fund. Simmons Jannace & Stagg managed to convince the federal court to abstain from exercising its jurisdiction until the surrogate court proceedings were concluded. The document I am reading today seems to be the 2003 decision and order from the federal court on the subject, but I'll be danged if I can make heads or tails of it. Either I am more frazzled than I had thought I was today, or I better not entertain any notions of being a court reporter. lol
