Decorate Your Home Office With Old World Gifts & Collectibles

I love to surround myself with items from my stories. Small figurines of dragons and fairies give me inspiration. Flasks and leather pouches hung from a hook on the wall inspire me on what such things look like. A decorative dragon sign holder leans out from the wall and small boxes of every description clutter shelves to hold treasures, pens, and office sundries.

The Old Gift Shop (based in New York) offers a plethora of decorative inspiration with Old World Gifts and Collectibles. Offering items such as brass spy telescopes replicas of those used by sailors in the 16th and 17th centuries, nested in protective wooden boxes. Or a bosun call - the brass and copper signal whistle that has not changed in centuries and has long been used to signal commands across the desks of sailing ships. I love the Viking warrior figurines - a spear thrower and an axe wielding warrior - 8.5" hand painted figures that bring these men to life. The prices are very reasonable on their products, making it easy to decorate an entire office or just add the finishing touches to make your workspace truly inspiring.

Don't forget to take a look at the wonderful tapestry maps. Wall decorations that I think are sure to inspire any historical writer.

That viking warrior figurine sounds interesting. Having an axe-wielding warrior sneering down at me would definitely add inspiration to my writing!
