I know this was a paid post, but I do think that Bed and Breakfasts are underrated. They are often a great rescource (ok, the innkeepers are) for local events and cool places. Plus, they are often beautiful homes and historical or something.
I just stayed at an amazing B&B over the weekend in Hot Springs, AR. The 1890 Williams House was the first Bed and Breakfast in the State of Arkansas. This house is stunningly beautiful and it was only five blocks to get to bathhouse row and all of the national park.
I didn't know you could reserve B&Bs on hotelreservations.com, so I guess that is good to know also!
