Pitfalls of research

Okay, I know what you're thinking. You are wondering just how research can have a downside, right? Trust me, it does. It is very easy, particularly if you are interested in the subject, to start researching something and find yourself wrapped up in reading about it, looking at interesting bits of information or trivia, and generally wasting hours that you should have been spending writing about a subject you knew as well after 30 minutes as you know about five hours later.

Research in moderation. Do enough so you know what the subject is, then write your article. Then after you have wrote your article, then go and enjoy the fun of reading more on the subject. When you tire of that, then go back and reread your article to see just what sort of grasp you had on the subject and make any changes you feel are needed.
