Basic Synopsis: The victim in this plot might be an adulterous spouse and their lover, or a spouse by their adulterous significant other and the adulterer's lover. A woman's paramour might kill her husband to protect her from an abusive marriage or two adulterers might plot to kill the spouse of the married one in an effort to get money and avoid a lengthy divorce. The lure of money (either because of a prenuptial contract or through life insurance) is usually the driving force behind the murder or attempted murder.
