Serious Computer Issues

I have been having some very serious computer issues the past few days. I'm not sure what caused it, but my desktop computer has had some kind of affliction that made it spasm during the start up phase. It would start booting up, sometimes actually booting fully up for a few moments, then without warning or explanation it would spasm and restart itself. This would go on for several restarts in a row, with the computer just repeatedly restarting itself until I intercepted it and told it to start over. Sometimes that worked, most of the time it went into another series of spasms where it repeatedly restarted itself.

I tried to reset it to a past date, but that did not fix the trouble, so now I have reset the whole thing to factory specifications and am hoping that cures the error. I won't know until I reboot it, and it was having such a fit on rebooting that I am not going to do that until I have to.
